"Old World Tavern is Lakeport's version of Cheers" - Reviewed August 1, 2015

"I'd heard a lot of good things about this spot so my hubby and I decided to check it out and we are SO glad we did!!" - Reviewed June 26, 2017

"I've been to Old World Tavern a countless amount of times. I always get treated like I'm at home...exactly what I want from a place like this!" - Reviewed Oct. 22, 2017
Facilities:An historic building located at the center of this quaint lakeside town. Included is a two bedroom apartment (includes large living dining area, kitchen, full bath, wash room and balcony).just upstairs (private entrance). Located on Main Street between 1st & 2nd, this is the hub for evening dinner and local entertainment as well as the heart of most every city event (Oktoberfest, Wine Festival, Street Fairs, etc.). Known for the best fishing west of the Mississippi and cleanest air in the United States, Lakeport is a slow paced resort with great local clientele and a favorite for returning visitors. Small bar and kitchen with mostly used equipment. Although fully functioning and profitable, kitchen is in need of moderate repair and updating.
Competition:A unique offering, in that The Tavern offers food as well as full bar and craft beers. Although catering to a different customer base, the only real competition near Main Street is Park Place (more of a restaurant, less a bar). Across the street is the Clearlake Club (full bar no food). Down the street is Drinx (offering food and drink, open at night only). Coming soon will be a steak house on the same block (good owners that will compliment and add to the dining atmosphere in the area).
Growth Potential:Because of the small kitchen, most growth opportunity is at the bar. My thought was to possibly cut back on the food offering and focus more on small plates, cocktails and a Happy Hour. Currently have no TV's which most patron appreciate, although could easily be converted to a sports themed bar.
Training/Support:As owner, operator and employee, I would be willing to stay on to train for 30 days. Most employees have been here for over a year and know the operation inside and out.
Seller Financing:Seller willing to carry up to 50%
Sale Reason:Own a new pizza restaurant & partner at start-up roller rink that requires more time and investment.
